Learn how to take photos of planes crossing the moon.  I will teach you camera settings and which apps to use to better your chances of capturing dramatic images of planes crossing the moon, in daylight or at night! I will show you the technique I developed that will have you creating these images on purpose, not by chance. Once you know the secrets to my success, you too can go and create the same jaw-dropping photos anywhere planes pass by because the moon will always rise as well.

Astrophotography won't be a secret to you after you take my workshop.  I will teach you the easy ways to create star trails and night time lapse videos along with single images of the night sky, all done at the same time!  Capture gorgeous images of the Milky Way rising over the horizon and standing up end to end throughout the night. You will go home with some amazing images rivaling those in national nature magazines.

Check out the list of workshops I have created for you and sign up today.  You get a discount when you sign up at least two weeks in advance, or if you are a senior or a student!  If you have any questions, send me an email and I will answer your questions.

If workshop is cancelled due to rain or because there are less than 5 attendees, you can attend any future workshop similar to the one cancelled.  No shows can also attend a future similar workshop of your choice. If for any reason you do not capture an image of planes crossing the moon, you can attend a future workshop for free as well.

These BRAND NEW classes are held EVERY SUNDAY, weather permitting, outdoors in a nature environment.

FOUR SUNDAYS IN JULY (2, 9, 16 & 30) - 2017 7:30 AM - 9:30 AM  Malibu Lagoon, MALIBU, CA

Location: 23200 Pacific Coast Highway - Enter parking lot at Adamson House Museum and go east to the paid public parking.

(NOTE: This class is not held JULY 23rd, because of the Star Trails in Big Bear day!)

Details: Every Sunday morning, we begin a nature photography walk from the parking lot.

It's an easy walk on sand, mostly flat ground.   We will photograph the landscape, nature, wildlife and surfers.  The pier is nearby so we might also shoot the pier and from the pier if time allows.

If you buy a custom workshop, I will work with you and your questions individually for two hours. Date and time selected by you and me.

What you need:  A Camera, a lens or lenses and a light tripod if you have one, but not necessary.

Learn camera settings.  What are the AV (Aperture Priority), TV (Time Value) and M (Manual) settings.

Learn how to use your wide angle and telephoto lenses while enjoying the outdoors.  This small canyon offers sun and shade with a year-round creek flowing through.  Many opportunities to capture nature and wildlife while learning the basics and more advanced techniques in photography.  Bring a sack lunch and at least 2 bottles of water, specially when it's hot.  Water will be provided to you at the beginning of the hike in case you forget.
